I pride myself in using a fluid combination of time tested techniques and cutting edge therapy. I am one of a handful of therapists in the United States trained in Advanced Integrative Therapy, a powerful, new energy therapy. I have years of experience and extensive training in helping people with a variety of problems, including trauma, addictions, mood disorders, anxiety, and life altering events.
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the basis for change. My main goal in the beginning of therapy is creating a safe, comfortable place for people to start the process of looking at what needs to change in order for them to have a deep and meaningful life.
I use traditional therapy to help people gain insight and allow them to change behaviors and thought patterns that create problems. People sometimes find that they hit a wall with talk therapy that they cannot move beyond, especially if they have experienced traumatic events in their lives. For this reason, I also employ a variety of nontraditional therapeutic methods, such as EMDR and EFT, which have been shown to effectively help people heal and move to greater peace and contentment with their lives.
